Auchteralyth Steadings in beautiful, rural, north-east Perthshire offers luxury self-catering courtyard cottages with stunning views. The dog-friendly cottages are named after four of the famous Angus Glens sitting on the doorstep of the Steadings.  Alyth, Blairgowrie and Kirriemuir are only a short drive away.

Auchteralyth is an old settlement, surrounded by Roman camps and tunnels with standing stones nearby. Its off-road, hillside position offers a secluded and exclusive oasis of peace.

The agricultural buildings were renovated in 2003, in a traditional style using local and recycled sandstone. On one wing of the building are three of our self-catering homes – Glen Prosen, Glen Isla and Glen Clova, while the rest of the main building is our home. Glen Doll, the fourth cottage, is a meticulously converted cart shed standing on its own across from Glen Clova. Each cottage has an access ramp and passive infra-red external light and is identified by a Celtic-style slate sign.

These self-catering courtyard cottages are ideally situated for sight-seeing, walking, fishing, field sports and golfing holidays. Walkers can experience the Cateran Trail, many sections of which offer a single day’s walk. There are two local golf courses, Alyth and Strathmore, and over sixty courses within an hours drive, including Carnoustie, St Andrews and Gleneagles.
